Capture on iPhone. Find on Mac.

Your iPhone is probably where a lot of useful information starts.

A receipt photo.
A scanned document.
A quick audio note.
A whiteboard after a meeting.
A picture of a contract, invoice, label, or business card.

The problem starts later.

Three weeks pass.

Now you need to find that thing again.

Was it in Photos?
Files?
Voice Memos?
Messages?
Notes?
Did you AirDrop it to your Mac?
Did you move it to the right folder?

Most of the time, the file exists somewhere.

You just do not remember where.

That is why we built Fenn Capture for iPhone.

Why AirDrop is not enough

Yes, you can already send files from iPhone to Mac with AirDrop.

AirDrop is great for transfer.

But it does not solve the real problem.

AirDrop still requires you to:

  • find the file on your iPhone

  • send it manually

  • choose where it lands on your Mac

  • move it into the right folder

  • make sure Fenn indexes that folder

  • remember what you did later

That is fine for one file.

It becomes annoying when you capture information every week.

Fenn Capture removes that friction.

How Fenn Capture works

The idea is simple.

You capture something from the iPhone app.

Then, when your iPhone and Mac are on the same network, the file is sent to your Mac automatically.

Once it arrives, Fenn indexes it.

So later, you can search for it from your Mac using Fenn.

You do not need to remember where you saved it.

You do not need to manually move it into an indexed folder.

You do not need to rebuild a workflow every time.

What you can capture

Fenn Capture is useful for everyday information that you want to retrieve later.

For example:

  • receipt photos

  • restaurant invoices

  • scanned documents

  • handwritten notes

  • whiteboards

  • product labels

  • business cards

  • audio recordings

  • quick voice notes

  • photos that contain useful text

The goal is not just to store these files.

The goal is to make them searchable later.

A simple example

Imagine you pay for lunch with a client.

You take a photo of the receipt with Fenn Capture.

That is it.

Later, on your Mac, you can search for the restaurant name, amount, date, or anything Fenn can detect from the capture.

You do not need to scroll through Photos.

You do not need to remember when you took the picture.

You do not need to find the file and AirDrop it after the fact.

The capture becomes part of your searchable Mac archive automatically.

Audio notes become easier to retrieve too

The same idea applies to audio.

Maybe you record a quick idea after a meeting.

Maybe you capture a voice note while walking.

Maybe you record a short conversation or reminder.

Normally, that audio stays trapped on your iPhone until you remember to move it.

With Fenn Capture, it can be sent to your Mac and indexed by Fenn.

Then you can find it later from your Mac like any other searchable file.

Why this matters

The best file system is the one you do not have to think about.

Fenn Capture is built around that idea.

Capture something when it happens.

Let it move to your Mac automatically.

Let Fenn index it.

Find it later when you need it.

That is the difference between storage and retrieval.

Private by design

Fenn is built around private, on-device file intelligence.

The iPhone app is not about uploading your life to a cloud AI provider.

It is about making the things you capture on your iPhone easier to find on your Mac with Fenn.

Your Mac becomes the place where your useful captures are searchable.

The bottom line

AirDrop helps you send a file.

Fenn Capture helps you build a searchable memory between your iPhone and your Mac.

Take a photo.
Scan a document.
Record audio.
Find it later with Fenn.
